Situated in Gosford city, a short drive on the F1 freeway from Sydney, or a centrally located train station. Just over an hour's drive north of Sydney is the city of Gosford. It covers an area of 1,029 square kilometres, stretching from the coastal beachside suburbs to the mountain ranges in the west and the Hawkesbury river in the south to the northern border with Wyong shire.
The City is the administration centre of the Central Coast region and has been designated as an important growth centre under the NSW metropolitan strategy. Along with Wyong shire council it forms the region known as the central coast with a total population of around 310,000.
Acacia is located in the Gosford City Council Master plan, Hospital Precinct. Gosford boasts both major public and private hospitals and a wide range of specialist and support services. The hospital precinct is one of the busiest zones in Gosford today. The master plan seeks to reinforce the health services for both the public and private hospital sectors within the precinct close to the railway station.
